Nitrogen is the chemical element with the symbol N and atomic number 7. Nitrogen is colorless, odorless element. Nitrogen is in the soil under our feet, in the water we drink, and in the air we breathe. In fact, nitrogen is the most abundant element in Earth’s atmosphere: approximately 78% of the atmosphere is nitrogen.
Main application of Nitrogen is cutting, purging, cooling and freezing. Nitrogen is widely used for purging in Oil and Gas Industry to push out other fluids and gases, such as water and oxygen, to help create a more stable, noncombustible climate. It is also used in the manufacture of ammonia, to produce nitric acid and subsequently used as a fertilizer.
Liquid nitrogen is utilized as a refrigerant for transporting foodstuff and freezing purposes it also improves the quality and shelf-life of Food items. Preservation of bodies and reproductive cells and stable storage of biological samples also makes use of liquid nitrogen.
Fine Gas offers liquid nitrogen in Bulk Tanks and in small Dewars and also offers compressed nitrogen gas of all purities in Cylinders of all sizes.
